Huey’s Hideaway Children’s Museum opened its doors in 2017 with a special exhibit donated by Lisa Olson and Joe Zink, Justin and Olga Olson, and Brost Farms in memory of Mat Olson and Grandpa Frank Brost. Over the past eight years, this exhibit has been a favorite among our visitors. The indoor tractor, complete with real tractor tires, has become an iconic part of the Huey’s experience.

“We are honored to share the updated Tractor Exhibit Play Area in loving memory of our late Dad/Grandpa Frank Brost and Son/Brother Matt Olson. This tribute brings together things they both cherished deeply, children and farming,” said director Monica Spinler.

Grandpa Frank was a lifelong farmer who believed in the value of hard work , the beauty of the land, and the joy of teaching the next generation . He had a natural way with children, patient, kind and always ready to share a story or lesson from the barn or fields. Whether he was explaining how crops grow or letting the kids ride along on the tractor or feeding a baby calf. He found joy.

Matt shared that same spirit. He had a heart full of laughter and a deep love for the outdoors and children, especially his son Jordan. He never missed a chance to lend a hand, share a joke or smile and get his hands dirty. Matt enjoyed his job at Doboy Feeds in Stetsonville helping farmers and delivering feed to local farms. On his off time when there was field work he would be in his favorite John Deere tractor Model 7810.

“This display is our way of honoring them both, We hope it brings smiles and many hours of enjoyment to the children. We invite you to visit the museum and enjoy what we've put together in their memory,” stated the donors.
