Found guilty

Michael Allyn, 41, of Medford, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of operating without a valid license, amended from operating while revoked (revoked due to alcohol/controlled substance/refusal) and was ordered to pay $267.50.

Mariangelys Fonseca Pinto, 21, of Medford, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of operating a motor vehicle without proof of insurance, amended from operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and was ordered to pay $10.

Larry Lawrence II, 47, of Medford, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of physical abuse of an elder person - recklessly cause great bodily harm (a class E felony), strangulation and suffocation - domestic abuse (a class H felony). Dismissed but read in for sentencing were charges of substantial battery - intend bodily harm, disorderly conduct, felony bail jumping, and intimidate victim/ domestic abuse crime. For the physical abuse of an elder person, court ordered 5 years of initial confinement followed by 2 years of extended supervision. For the strangulation and suffocation, court orders 18 months of initial confinement followed by 18 months of extended supervision to be served consecutive to first count. Conditions of extended supervision are to pay the court costs on each count, provide a DNA sample and pay the surcharge on each count, pay restitution in the amount of $500 plus the surcharge in the suffocation charge (the bond from Langlade County will cover this amount), pay the restitution in the amount of $3,503.77 plus the surcharge in elder abuse charge. Lawrence is to have no contact with the Taylor family or with G.P or their family members, maintain absolute sobriety, have a full psychological examination and any other evaluations, assessments, or counseling deemed necessary by the probation agent and then follow through with any recommended treatment. Defendant has 956 days of credit in count 1 and 114 days of credit in count 6. Total amount assessed by the court is $5,540.15.

Deferred entry of judgement

The court accepted a deferred entry of judgement agreement for Gavyn Dellich, 18, of Medford, and found him guilty due to no contest pleas of theft of moveable property <=$2,500 (as a party to a crime), vehicle operator flee/elude officer, and failure to stop at a stop sign. Charges of reckless driving - endangering safety, vehicle operator failure to wear seatbelt, operating a motor vehicle without two headlights, operating left of center, exceeding speed zones (45+ mph), unsafe lane deviation, three counts of failure to stop at a stop sign, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, cracked/damaged vehicle windshield, failure to have required bumper, failure to display vehicle license plate, burglary to a building or dwelling as a party to a crime, and felony bail jumping were dismissed as part of the agreement. Court withholds sentence and places defendant on probation for one year. Conditions of probation are to pay court costs, provide a DNA sample and pay the surcharge, participate in 40 hours of uncompensated community service, letter of apology to Officer Schuett, counseling as deemed appropriate. Defendant is also to pay $1,000 for the damage to a squad car that was not covered by insurance. Court accepts the DEJ and holds the case open for 2 years. Along with standard conditions, defendant shall attend school or obtain an HSED/GED and provide proof. Defendant shall also successfully complete probation that was ordered. For the theft charge, court orders a withheld sentence and places Dellich on probation for one year. Conditions of probation are to pay the court costs, provide a DNA sample and pay the surcharge, letter of apology to the Medford Little League Association, counseling as deemed appropriate, attend school full time, obtain an HSED/GED or maintain full time employment. For failure to stop at stop sign, court orders defendant to pay forfeiture of $213.10. DE is eligible to petition the court for expungement upon successful completion of his sentence. All costs are to be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Courts office in the amount of $75 a month beginning June 1, 2025. Total amount due is $4,521.20.

Anthony Meyer, 45, of Medford, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of two counts of operating while suspended and to non-registration of a vehicle - auto <10,000 pounds and was ordered to pay $576.30.

Jack Wojcik, 19, of Medford, was found guilty due to no contest plea of ATV - absolute sobriety under age 21 amended from violate absolute sobriety law, operating an ATV between midnight and 6 a.m., and resisting/failing to stop. Dismissed were charges of refuse to take test for intoxication after arrest, obstructed license plates, operating on a closed ATV route, operate ATV/UTV without lighted headlamp/tail lamp, failure to maintain or attach ATV/UTV registration plate, operate ATV/UTV in a careless manner, and violating speed limits. Court accepts the deferred entry of judgement for the charge of vehicle operator fleeing/eluding an officer (a class H felony) and holds it open for a period of one year. Along with standard conditions, defendant shall successfully complete the probation that is ordered in for resisting/failing to stop count. For that count, the court withholds sentence and places Wojcik on probation for one year. Conditions of probation are to pay the court costs, provide a DNA sample and pay the surcharge, letter of apology to Officer Schuett, AODA and follow through with treatment recommendations, and counseling as deemed appropriate. In the event of revocation, Wojcik has 2 days of sentence credit. Defendant is eligible to petition the court for expungement upon successful completion of his sentence. On the sobriety violation, the court orders a forfeiture of $200.50. All costs are to be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Courts office in the amount of $75 a month beginning June 1, 2025. Total court assessments are $844.

Francisco Tinco Joyas, 46, of Medford, pled not guilty to operating without a valid license (2nd within 3 years) and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.

Dismissed

A charge of failure to amend industrial storm water pollution prevention plan against Donald Blasel, 64, of Medford, was dismissed on prosecutor’s motion.

Divorces

A divorce was granted on April 14 to Jena Faber of Medford and Corey Faber of Stetsonville.
