Jump River Electric Cooperative’s 87th annual meeting set
Jump River Electric Cooperative’s (JREC’s) 87th Annual Meeting of its Membership is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, 2025. This event will be held at the Ladysmith headquarters warehouse, conveniently located just north of Ladysmith along State Highway 27, with additional participation available from the Hayward branch office. Registration begins at both locations at 9:30 a.m., followed by the business meeting at 10 a.m.
In appreciation of member participation, attendees will receive a $25 energy credit and a door prize (one per membership). There will also be an opportunity to win one of five $100 energy credits or the grand prize of a $500 energy credit at the meeting’s conclusion.
JREC General Manager/CEO Kurt Harris emphasizes the importance of member participation: “Active member involvement is essential to the cooperative’s success. The annual meeting provides an opportunity for members to learn about the co-op’s efforts to stay ahead of changing technology, evolving industry needs, and member expectations. This is also a valuable chance for us to hear your feedback and insights.”
Members will vote on three director elections and two proposed bylaw amendments. Voting can be done electronically or by mail-in ballot ahead of the annual meeting. For those attending the meeting in person and who have not yet cast their ballot, they can vote during registration.
