A man is in custody after two juveniles were found deceased inside a trailer home in Abbotsford after Colby-Abbotsford Police officers and Clark County deputies were dispatched to the home just after 1:30 a.m. on Friday, July 5. The suspect, Victor Manuel Gomez Acosta, 29, of Abbotsford, was taken into custody at the scene and after being medically cleared at Marshfield Medical Center, was transferred to the Clark County Jail.

The two deceased juvenile victims were found with stab wounds and were found deceased at the scene. One adult female victim was also found with stab wounds at the scene and was still receiving medical care as of Monday evening.

According to the Colby-Abbotsford Police Department, Gomez Acosta was found inside the residence where the incident occurred and was apprehended at the crime scene. Gomez Acosta was transported to the Colby-Abbotsford Police Department where

self-inflicted stab wounds were discovered, Central EMS were called to the police department.

A motive for the stabbing has not been identified at this time. The CAPD said it will not be releasing the names of the juveniles involved. It also said the adult female’s name will not be released at this time. Gomez Acosta appeared in Clark County Circuit Court for his bond hearing on Tuesday, July 9 at 2 p.m. He is being charged with two Class A Felony accounts of First Degree Intentional Homicide and one Class A Felony account of attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide.

Gomez Acosta is being held on $1,000,000 cash bond and has conditions that include:

■ ■ No contact with the victim’s biological family of any kind, whether direct or indirect, including in person, in writing, by phone, by e-mail or other electronic means, through a third party or in any other way.

â–  â–  No unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 16 years old unless supervised by an adult age 25 or older.

â–  â–  Defendant shall not possess or consume any alcohol or controlled substances unless prescribed to defendant.

The Colby-Abbotsford Police Department and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office are conducting the investigation. They are assisted by the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation, Wisconsin State Crime Lab, Wisconsin State Patrol, Clark County District Attorney’s Office, Clark County Coroner’s Office and the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office.

The Abbotsford School District offered counseling services to students who attended summer school on Monday.
