Main Street to get new surface in near future
There is a promise that in the very near future, Main Street will get that badly needed resurfacing. The county highway machinery will be moved here, possibly right after July 4, and be put to work on the two blocks from the highway intersection, north to the Hutt Electric corner.
Contributions coming in for Boy Scout cabin
Contributions are needed for a proposed Boy Scout cabin, which is to be built near the ball park. Nearly $600 in cash donations has been collected as well as some material and the land for the cabin.

House of Dav-Ed is auctioned on Monday
Abbotsford’s House of Dav-Ed, Inc., which has been closed for the past several weeks, changed hands at Sheriff’s sale at the courthouse in Wausau at 10 a.m. Monday. Mrs. Sue Pfalzgraf of Abbotsford, who with her husband, John, own and operate Medo-Farm Restaurant, was the top bidder.
Installation service for Paster Fink to be held Sunday
Installation service for Pastor Robin O. Fink, new pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Colby, will be held Sunday, June 30 at 8:15 p.m. at the church. Rev. Kenneth Loehrke of Abbotsford and Rev. Roland Golz of Dorchester will conduct the service.
Officers installed at Abby Lions banquet
Installation of officers of the Abbotsford Lions Club took place at the Hotel Colby. Francis Melvin, Mike Greaser, Duane Hohlstein, Robert Schelbe, John Resech, Dave Hargraves, John Pfalzgraf, Del Zwirschitz, Robert Morrow, Richard Anderson and David Hawks were named as officers.
