According to court documents a 28-year-old Trevor woman is facing life in prison after being charged with the July 2023 murder of Cindy Schulz-Juedes at the Taycheedah Correctional Institution in Fond du Lac.
The criminal complaint made in Fond du Lac County Criminal Court said Taylor Sanchez is being charged with First Degree Intentional Homicide, a Class A Felony in Wisconsin for the murder of Schulz-Juedes.
The complaint says multiple inmates and law enforcement personnel were interviewed during the investigation of Schulz-Juedes’s death.
Schulz-Juedes was found unresponsive in her cell on July 19, 2023 after her cellmate, Sanchez, had called jail staff using the intercom and said she believed she had killed her cellmate.
According to the complaint, Sanchez later told investigators she was hearing voices telling her to kill Schulz-Juedes and that’s why she committed the crime.
Schulz-Juedes was sentenced to life in jail without parole in 2022 for the 2006 murder of her husband, Ken Juedes, in rural Unity. Court records indicate Sanchez had numerous issues with committing battery while in prison and also threatened a law enforcement officer or judge in 2021.
