Marathon senior Ava Krueger was awarded the Marawood South Conference Player of the Year this season. Athens senior Jazelle Hartwig shared the Marawood North Conference Player of the Year honor with Prentice junior Kali Heikkinen this year. Krueger and Jazelle Hartwig are unanimous first team selections in their respective Marawood Conferences for the third consecutive season.

Krueger achieved her 1,000th career attack kill during Marathon’s tournament on Oct. 7 in Wisconsin Dells. Her older sister, Vanessa Krueger, flew home from college in Tampa Bay, Fla., to celebrate Ava’s 1,000th career kill during Marathon’s Senior Night on Oct. 12 against Mosinee. They were teammates for two seasons on Marathon’s varsity volleyball squad before Vanessa graduated high school.

Ava Krueger led this year’s Red Raiders volleyball team with 337 kills, 51 ace serves, 62 blocks and 284 digs.

Jazelle Hartwig concludes her Athens volleyball career by obtaining over 1,000 assists, 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs. She led Athens this year with 431 kills, 343 digs and 335 assists. She was second on the team with 66 aces to Danica Diethelm with 85.

Stratford juniors Kalyn Schueller and Emerson Roy were unanimous first team all-Marawood South Conference volleyball players this season. Schueller led Stratford with 405 kills and 425 digs. She was second on the team in aces with 57. Roy led Stratford with 542 assists.

Tigers head coach Brooke Kafka was awarded the Marawood South Conference Coach of the Year this season. The Marawood North Conference chooses not to award a Coach of the Year each season.

Edgar sophomore libero Kaityln Hardy was awarded first team all-Marawood South Conference this season. She led Edgar with 267 digs this year.

Wildcats senior Makayla Wirkus received second team all-Marawood South Conference this season. She led Edgar with 120 kills this season.

Stratford juniors Daisy Yoder and Mckenzie Novotny obtained second team all-Marawood South Conference honors this season. Yoder was second on the Tigers in kills with 191 and second in blocks with 47. She was third on the team in aces with 47. Novotny led Stratford with 61 aces and she was third for the Tigers in kills with 151 and third in digs with 197.

Athens senior Sophia Coker and sophomore Sy’Rih Hartwig were awarded second team all-Marawood North Conference this season. Sophia Coker was second on Athens’ volleyball squad in kills with 258 and Sy’Rih Hartwig was third in kills with 231. Sophia Coker was also second for the Bluejays in digs with 312 and Sy’Rih Hartwig was third in digs with 247. Sy’Rih Hartwig was second for Athens in assists with 276. Sophia Coker was second for the Bluejays in blocks with 75 and third on the team in aces with 34.

Bluejays senior Sydney Coker received honorable mention all-Marawood North Conference this season.

Edgar seniors Brooke Imhoff and Emily Murkowski, Marathon juniors Katie LeBlanc and Chenpieng Phakitthong and Stratford sophomore Tria Tubbs earned honorable mention all-Marawood South Conference this season.
