2022 Abby Festival set for June 3 – 5

The 2022 Abby Festival will be rolling into Wisconsin’s First City on Friday with plenty of activities for family fun.

There will be tournaments, carnival rides, food, crafts, a beer tent and much more throughout the weekend.

The queen and princess contestants will be selling tickets to earn their crowns and tickets will also be available at local area businesses. Drawing for winners will be Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 4 p.m. at the band stand with prizes awarded for first through seventh place Raffle tickets will also be available at the following businesses: Novedades La Chiquita, Abarrotes La China, La Tropicana, Nicolet Bank in Colby, Taqueria El Sol, La Botana and AbbyColby Crossings Chamber Office.

Friday night: The Influence Band – 8 p.m. to midnight.

Saturday evening: Kike y sus Rebeldes – 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Saturday night: Banda Seduccion – 9 p.m. to midnight.

Sunday: DJ TBD – Noon to 4 p.m.

Annual Family Soccer Tournament

The tournament will take place at Schilling Soccer Field on Saturday, June 4, with registration beginning at 8 a.m. The starting time for the tournament will be 8:30 a.m.

There are three age divisions: young children – ages 6-9, older children – ages 10-13 and adults – ages 14 and older.

Youth: Medals for all first and second place team members.

Adults: Trophies for first and second place.

Basketball tournament

The fifth annual 5-on-5 basketball tournament will be played on Saturday, June 4, at the Red Arrow Park basketball court on corner of Butternut Street & 5th Avenue.

Teams will consist of five to six people. The tournament will begin with a captains meeting at 8:30 a.m. with games beginning at 9 a.m.

Craft & Flea Market Sale

The craft and flea market will be located on South First Street in Abbotsford on Saturday, June 4 from 2 - 8 p.m.

Craft and flea market vendors will set-up outside on South First Street, weather permitting.

Set-up time is Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Parade

The Abby Festival parade starts at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 5. If you wish to register an entry for the Abby Festival parade contact either Paula at 715-302-1177 or Ana Garcia at 715-223-9513 (she will take calls in Spanish) with any questions or to sign up.

Submit a small paragraph about your float to be announced during the parade. Line up starts at noon and the parade will start at 1:30 p.m. Line up starts on Second Avenue West of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. There will be trophies for first, second and third place entries.

Advanced and mega wristband sales end on Thursday, June 2, at 5 p.m.

Designated wristband times: Friday 6 p.m. – 10 p.m., Saturday noon – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 11 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Patrons may purchase both advanced wristband and mega wristband cards at local area businesses or online at www.spectrumcarnival.com before 11 p.m. on Thursday, June 2.

Advance wristband cards are available at Nicolet National Bank – Colby, AbbyBank, Taylor Credit Union, La Tropicana, Novedades La Chiquita, Abarrotes La China, Taqueria El Sol and Abby County Market.
