Taylor Credit Union’s field of membership is open to “everyone residing or employed within Taylor, Clark, Price, Lincoln and Marathon counties and a 25 mile radius of the City of Medford.”

Handel reported on how COVID-19 affected the credit union’s business and impacted members. He encouraged members to open a Saver’s Sweepstakes ® account, which awarded $3,450 in prize money to 35 TCU members in 2020.

President Debbie Woods shared a bit of credit union history and some comparisons from 1951 as TCU celebrates its 70th anniversary this year. She shared financial tips to pass along to members’ children and grandchildren and how Taylor Credit Union’s Student Credit Unions in local schools teach children the value of money. She invited the membership to stop in over the next week, and participate in activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary.

President Woods thanked all of the board members for their service and loyalty to Taylor Credit Union.

Special guest speakers at the annual meeting included U.S. Congressman Tom Tiffany and State Senator Jerry Petrowski. In recognition of Taylor Credit Union’s 70th anniversary, Congressman Tiffany presented a letter of congratulations to the membership, and State Sen. Petrowski presented the membership with a citation from the State of Wisconsin plaque, signed by Governor Tony Evers, State Rep. James Edming and Sen. Petrowski.

Informational booths were on display for the membership pertaining to the 70th anniversary, current loan promotions and Saver’s Sweepstakes.

Lunch was served and enjoyed by those in attendance.
