Drive-thru COVID vaccine clinic Thursday in Curtiss
The next drive-through vaccination clinic in Clark County will be on Thursday, Feb. 18, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Owen-Withee-Curtiss Fire District, 100 Matthias Street, Curtiss.
If you are unable to make your appointment due to inclement weather or personal reasons, or if you arrive after the clinic hours, you will not be guaranteed your dose. You will have to schedule another appointment at a future Clark County Health Department (CCHD) COVID- 19 vaccine clinic or reach out to your local healthcare provider, pharmacy, etc.
COVID-19 vaccines will be available for those listed below. At this time, vaccines are not available for the general public. Protocols put into place by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) requires administration to be limited to those part of Phase 1A, and the start of Phase 1B only.
Phase 1A (All categories listed under Phase 1A)
_ Healthcare workers _ Long-term care residents
_ EMS personnel _ Mortuary workers Phase 1A is defined on page 5 (Table 1) of the Wisconsin State Disaster Medical Advisory Committee (SDMAC).
Phase 1B (only what is listed below)
_ Fire and police _ 65 and older Due to the administering of second doses to those who have already received their first dose, appointment slots for this week’s Curtiss clinic will be very limited.
In the coming weeks, the CCHD may have limited availability of first dose vaccine appointments for those who are currently eligible. This limited availability is due to a combination of second dose administration appointments, staffing capacity, and allotted supply of vaccine. Eligible individuals should watch for future press releases regarding new appointment availability.
Those who do not have access to the internet may call the CCHD vaccine appointment line at 715-743-5105, select option 9, then select option 9 again.
High call volumes are expected. Calling and leaving a message does not guarantee you an appointment. The CCHD encourages those who don’t have access to the internet to have a family member or friend monitor online resources.
For those who would like to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, the CCHD strongly encourages individuals to reach out to their primary healthcare provider or local pharmacy.
