Duckfest was held at Longshot at Miller Dam on Saturday, Sept. 14. The event included a volleyball tournament, charcoal chicken dinner and music including the Carolina Boys, Anthem Boys Band and DJ Turtle Dude. Other fun events included a dunk tank and a duck race. SUBMITTED
Medford firefighters direct traffic on Hwy 13 at Brehm Drive to go around an accident scene on August 28. At last week’s fire commission meeting, members gave their approval to a wage increase for firefighters who respond to fire and rescue calls as well as looking at the equipment rate charges for different types of incidents. Members of the Medford Kiwanis Club presented city coordinator Joe Harris with a Kiwanis Community All Star Award for his assistance in making the Summer Concert Series a success. The concert series wraps up its season tonight (Sept. 5) with Sean Porten performing in the Tombstone Bandshell in the Medford City Park.
