NOTICE OF PUBLIC BUDGET HEARING FOR THE TOWN OF MARATHON MARATHON COUNTY Notice is hereby given that on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at the Town of Marathon Town Hall, a public hearing on the proposed 2024 budget of the town of Marathon in Marathon County will be held. A copy of the proposed budget is posted at the clerk’s office, chairman’s office and the town hall. NOTICE OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING OF ELECTORS OF THE TOWN OF MARATHON MARATHON COUNTY Notice is hereby given that on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023, immediately following the completion of the public hearing on the proposed 2024 budget, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at the town hall of the Town of Marathon, a special town meeting of the electors called pursuant to Sec. 60.12(1)(C) of the Wis. Statutes by the town board for the following purposes will be held: 1. To approve the total year 2024 highway expenditures pursuant to Section 81.01 of the Wis. Statutes. 2. To adopt the 2023 town levy to be paid in 2024 pursuant to Section 60.10(1)(A) of the Wis. Statutes. The regular town board meeting to follow. Dated this 25th day of October, 2023.
