PATROLMAN RETIRING TOWN OF LOYAL NOW HIRING: ROAD PATROLMAN Overview/Purpose of Position: The Town of Loyal is accepting applications to fill a patrolman position. The patrolman performs a variety of routine and relatively complex duties including grading, truck driving, snow plowing, operating a variety of small tools, operating light and heavy equipment, operator level mechanical tasks, and performing manual work. Requirements: Applicants must be 18 years of age; have a high school diploma; and have a minimum of two years of experience working in equipment operation or truck driving – an equivalent combination of education and experience will be taken into consideration. Applicant must be able to work overtime on short notice and be available for call-in work outside of normal work hours including nights, weekends, evenings, and holidays. Applicant must have the ability to complete routine forms and apply concepts of basic mathematics. Applicant must be willing to perform manual labor tasks. Applicant must be able to interact positively with the public and town board. Special Requirement: Applicant is required to possess, at a minimum, a Class B Wisconsin commercial driver’s license with manual transmission and air brake or obtain with 60 days. Pre-employment drug screening and participation in the drug testing program is required. Benefits: Starting wages $24 per hour, negotiable with qualified past work history. Structured flexible work schedule guarantees minimum of 40 hours of work per week. Optional state retirement plan, holiday pay, one week PTO after 60 days, and 1.5 hours earned per each 40 hours thereafter.
