Part-Time Maintenance Workers The Village of Sheldon has a part-time (up to 20 hours a week) opening for a village maintenance w orker. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist with general upkeep of facilities • Perform basic repairs that do not require specialized technicians • Perform maintenance and readies equipment for use • Tracks, orders and restocks supplies, as needed • Operate village equipment for snow removal and lawn care • Monitor village sewer and water utility systems JOB REQUIREMENTS: • High school diploma or equivalent required • Related experience preferred • Water and sewer certified operator certification preferred, or willing to obtain certification • Ability to make decisions independently, with minimal supervision • Strong time management skills • On-call every other weekend and rotating holidays • Ability to lift forty (40) pounds • Physically able to drive trucks and operate village machinery • Physical health and ability to work in all kinds of weather conditions • Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time 164860 Questions can be directed to the village email address below or by calling Jim, at 715-452-5394.
