The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Motion by Readinger and seconded by Engel, to approve the minutes of the 01/15/24, regular meeting, as printed. Motion carried unanimously. Public comments and correspondence: none Mr. Lindau gave the superintendent’s report. Items included: parentteacher conferences were held 2/15/24; met with representatives from Chippewa County Public Health to discuss possible services; elementary students enjoyed their annual trip to Christie Mountain, 2/7/24; Lake Holcombe to host the Lakeland Conference Solo & Ensemble, 3/2/24; citations are in the process of being issued, for the damage to the building the end of November; Todd Senoraske is organizing a Leadership Summit for multiple schools, to be held this May; the district has been awarded a $300,000 Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (BSCA) Stronger Connections competitive grant, to high-need Local Education Agencies, to support safe and healthy students; and with the receipt of the BSCA grant, the district has received $900,000, in competitive grants, within the past few years.
