April 4, 1900 125 Years Ago
Quite a bit of business was done at the Medford town meeting. The town purchased the Grange Hall and one acre of ground, the Grange reserving four acres. A road was ordered to be opened running east from the creamery on the line between sections 16 and 21, the road to run east one mile. $500 was voted for putting in two bridges, one east of Medford at the Cleveland farm, the other in the western part of the town. It was voted that the town clerk be allowed for the year $100, the chairman $60, each supervisor $50.

April 2, 1925 New Addition Will Give Thomas 4,400 Feet Under Glass
V.A. Thomas, the Medford florist, is building a new addition to his greenhouse at the southeast corner of the city. It will be 30x40 feet. The former house on that side was 30x30 feet, so the addition will make it 30x70 feet. The other part is 18x60 feet, so altogether Mr. Thomas will have 4,400 feet of glass. Herman Neeck has completed the foundation, and the building will be put up as soon as possible.

April 6, 1950 Gilman Village Favors Building
By a vote of 122 to 29 the voters of the village of Gilman indicated to the village board that they favored the construction of a municipal building. The referendum question presented the voters Tuesday, was to determine whether or not the board should be authorized to appropriate money to finance the construction of a building.
50 Years Ago April 3, 1975 Stets Center Voted in by Three to One
Stetsonville, Little Black and Deer Creek voters have demonstrated conclusively that they want and need a community center in centrally located Stetsonville. In fact, they voted better than three-to-one Tuesday to bond their municipalities for a building to fill a void in the area.
25 Years Ago April 6, 2000 62-lot subdivision may be in Medford’s future Would be located north of Industrial Park No. 2 on Venoski Lane off Cedar St.
A new, 62-lot residential subdivision may be coming to Medford’s southwest side. Medford Planning Commission members reviewed a preliminary pat of the proposed multi-stage subdivision at their April 3 meeting.
The property, owned by Darin Wriedt of Colby, is located in the southwest corner of the City immediately north of Industrial Park No. 2 and was recently annexed from the Town of Medford.

April 2, 2015 Legislators talk education issues at forum
Six area legislators attend annual Medford school forum Administrators and school board members from central and northern Wisconsin met with six state legislators Monday evening for the annual education sponsored by the Medford School Board.
Attending the forum were state senators Janet Bewley and Jerry Petrowski, and assembly representatives James Edming, Bob Kulp and Romaine Quinn. Rep. David Heaton was scheduled to be on the panel, but did not attend.
