Brian J. Heier

1963-2025
It is with profound sadness our family announces the death of Brian J. Heier of Weston. He courageously fought a lengthy battle with cancer while remaining positive and hopeful, spending precious time with family and friends. He lost his battle peacefully in the early hours of March 10, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Brian was born in Medford on Aug. 31, 1963, to John and Bette Ann (née Clough) Heier. He grew up in Medford and graduated from Medford High School. He went on to proudly serve in the Navy and enjoyed volunteering for the Man of Honor Society.
Brian’s cancer diagnosis didn’t stop him from enjoying family time. He looked forward to family trips to Lake Alva and pool time with his precious grandchildren. He enjoyed bowling with his good friend Barry Cooper and golfing in a summer league with his brothers-in-law, Conrad, Steve and nephew Brandon. In the winter he went on ice fishing trips with his best friend and brother, Kurt, and cousin Todd. He always looked forward to these trips and was fortunate to make his last trip this past January.
Brian is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Lisa (née Notz); children, Justin (Kyla), Derek (Phyllis), Kendra (Trent); and daughter-in-law, Myranda. He loved being a grandfather to Rylie, Kaden, Troy, Alex, Payton, Carson and Ellianna. He is further survived by his parents, John and Bette Ann; loving sister and brother, Jackie (Rich) and Kurt; and special cousin and friend, Todd. Nephew, Jack; and niece, Grace. Sisterin- law, Jill (Conrad) Harris; and daughter, Taylor; brother-in-law, Steve Notz; and his son, Brandon (Rose) Notz.
Brian was preceded in death by in-laws, Bill and Betty Notz; and niece, Maisi Schrauth.
A very special “Thank you” goes to Dr. Peterson, Sarina RN and the entire staff at the Aspirus Cancer Center for giving Brian another 11 plus years after his diagnosis. He was able to enjoy three more grandchildren during this time.
The family will have a celebration of Brian’s life at a later date.
