William O. Standish

1949-2025

William O. Standish, 75, of Gilman, died on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025 of natural causes. He was born on Dec. 6, 1949, the son of the late Henry Standish and Clara Bialas. Bill grew up in the Elroy area and attended area schools. He enjoyed the outdoors and watching his grandchildren play sports.

Bill is survived by his children, Bill Mielke and Tammy Masters both of Ariz., and Megan (Bob) Wilczek of Owen; his grandchildren, Alexandra, Orion, Hailly, Hunter, Kenzie, Corey, Jordan, Hannah, and Stephanie; his great-granddaughter, Kiia; and his siblings, Tomas Standish, Joan (Gary) Lorbiecki, Carol Tabb, Jeanette (John) Strandjord, and Steve (Marilyn) Bialas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ben Conley; and siblings, Frank Standish and Bob Standish.

Services are pending for the spring.
