Nancy V. Henke

1946-2025

Nancy V. Henke, age 78, of Withee, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee. The Rev. Elizabeth Bier officiated. Family and friends were welcomed from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday at the church. The service was live streamed at youtube.com/@ oneinchristelca. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen is entrusted with the arrangements.

Nancy was born on July 15, 1946, the daughter of Frank and Violet (Turenne) Hendriks in Stanley. She graduated from Owen-Withee High School in 1964. Nancy was united in marriage to Dennis Henke on Dec. 14, 1968 and later remarried on Sept. 29, 2006. She worked for Owen Manufacturing for many years. Together they owned and operated the Spot Bar for several years.

Nancy enjoyed going up north to Holcombe. She enjoyed reading, bowling, ATV riding, pontoon rides and Christmas with her family. Nancy adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved spending time with them.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Denny; her two children, Monty (Renea) Henke and Mindy (Greg) Heiden; four grandchildren, Tyler (Amber) Henke, Katie (Joel) Barboza, Rachel (Lane) Nicholds and Jacob Heiden; four greatgrandchildren, Eleanora, Solomon, Arabella and Silas; sister, Fay (Don) Stolp of Mosinee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are preferred and the family will determine at a later date.
