Dale Duane Mokry, 71, of Medford, passed away on Jan. 27, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. His journey has finally led him home where he will be waiting for us in the presence of our Lord. Born on Nov. 10, 1953, in Medford, Dale was the son of Allen and Beryl (Terry) Mokry. He graduated from Medford High School in 1971. In 1974, Dale married Julie Brandner, though they later divorced. He married Mary (Werner) Mokry on Nov. 1, 1997. Mary survives him.
Dale’s gift for conversation and persuasion led to a successful career in sales, including insurance and jewelry. His love for competition was evident in his many hobbies, including rooting for the Cubs and Bears, trap shooting, golfing, hunting, bowling, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with friends and family.
A dedicated member of First Baptist Church, Dale was actively involved in church activities, from grilling for the annual Thanksgiving meal, to supporting missionaries and lending a helping hand to others.
Dale is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Robbie Mokry, Christopher (Wendy) Sulzer, Katie Sulzer-Diez, and Sara (Troy) Anderson; his grandchildren, Ava, Paige, Isabella, Blake, McKenna, and Meghan; his great-grandchild, Leona; his brothers, Ace (Marj) Mokry and Jay (Bunny) Mokry; his sister, Janice (Vinoo) Cameron; and many nieces and nephews.
