Delbert F. Brandner, 88, of Medford, passed away on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025 at Vita Care Living, surrounded by family, under the care of Hope Hospice. A memorial service for Delbert will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025 at OLPH Catholic Church, with Father Patrick McConnell officiating. Burial will follow at OLPH Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will take place at OLPH Catholic Church on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025 from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

Delbert was born to Edward Sr. and Edna (Frischmann) Brandner on Jan. 4, 1937 in Medford. He graduated from Medford High School. He married the love of his life, June Klemm, on July 28, 1956; she survives.

Delbert worked at Weather Shield as a supervisor for 36 years, until his retirement. He also owned and operated Loon Bay Resort in Phillips. He enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years for Whittlesey. Del and June enjoyed their time at the campground by the lake. He loved his woodwork and created many beautiful, intarsia art pieces for many people. Most of all Delbert will be remembered for being a prayer warrior for so many. His love for the Lord, his wife, family, and friends was immense.

Delbert was a member of OLPH Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, Rib Lake Chapter.

Delbert is survived by his wife, June; children, David (Cheryl) Brandner, Susan Werner, Tim (Jenny) Brandner, and Wendy (Scott) LaBrec; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; siblings, Ruth Zuleger, Edward Brandner Jr., Ethel Laher, and Sharon (Jerry) Nowak. Delbert is further survived by many other family and friends.

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cindy Lekies; son-in-law, Terry Werner Sr.; daughter-in-law, Sandy Brandner; siblings, Harvey Brandner, Melva Klinger, and Roger Brandner.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Delbert’s name may be given to the family for use at a later date.
