Sandra “Sandy” Leigh Limbo (Vogel)
1947-2024
Sandra “Sandy” Leigh Limbo (Vogel), from Ogema, was a caring wife, mother of three, grandmother of four, sister, and friend to many. Sandy passed away on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, at the age of 77 after a courageous battle with heart issues and cancer at Marshfield Medical Center. Sandy Limbo was born May 1, 1947 in Milwaukee to parents Ralph Henry and Dorothy Lorraine (Wackrow) Vogel. She is survived by her loving husband, Dean Robert Sr.; and three sons, David Jon (wife Jill and grandsons Joshua and Jacob), Joel Dean (grandson Zachary), and Dean Robert Jr. (granddaughter Lillie). Sandy is also survived by her sister, Vickie (husband Jerry) Ernst. Sandy was proceeded in death by her brother, Terry (wife Judy) Vogel. Sandy was married for years to her soulmate Dean.
Sandy was a registered nurse and was very compassionate about helping to take people’s pain away or helping them deal with their pain. Sandy worked at Waukegan Development Center, Cancer Treatment Center of America, Veterans Affairs Medical Center, multiple nursing homes, and retired from Medford Hospital.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Sandy. She loved scrapbooking, stamping, card making, and spending time with her grandkids. She became a 1st Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do in 1994.
