Nominations are now open for 2025 Chamber recognitions
Nominations are now open for the 2025 Medford Area Chamber of Commerce Recognition Banquet.
People may nominate individuals for Person of the Year, Lifetime Achievement, Employee Excellence, or the J.A. O'Leary Distinguished Community Service Award. Nomination forms are available at the Medford Area Chamber of Commerce and nominations are due by the end of the business day on November 21, 2024.
In addition, the Chamber is requesting that any businesses celebrating 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, and 150 years in 2025 should contact them to receive a milestone award.
The Recognition Banquet will be held in mid to late January depending on nominee's schedule.
The Medford Area Chamber of Commerce offers four award categories to recognize people who have made a difference in our community. Nominations should be made with the official form and will be qualified by the Chamber Awards Committee.
Nominees will be notified and invited to be recognized at the Chamber’s Annual Membership Dinner in January 2025. When nominating, please consider the qualifications listed below.
General Nomination Guidelines
• Nominated persons must have performed services in Taylor County The nominator and/or nominees do not have to be members of the Medford Chamber of Commerce
• Self-nominations are welcome
• If nominating in more than one category, please use separate forms for each
• All deadlines are firm, and nominations will not be accepted after the deadline (including mail-in nominations) Person of the year The Person of the Year should be someone who has done things that are pertinent to our extended community now. They should be out in the public giving to our community. Often these people make the special effort to ensure that “good things happen” for others. They should be an example that we can follow!
• This award will go to an individual who has never received this award before
• Contributed significant time, energy, and spirit in fields outside his/her professional life, without regard to personal gain
• Served both civic and community areas beyond “normal” responsibilities
• Services must be to the Taylor County area
• Activities on application must be within the past 5 years
• Include 2 references for additional information
