Donald F. Farmer
1942-2024
Donald F. Farmer passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024 at his home in Stevens Point, surrounded by family. Don was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on June 1, 2024. He was born to Vera (Brown) and Donald Farmer Sr. on July 31, 1942, in Tomah. He married Trixie (Talcott) on Oct. 31, 1970. In their 54year marriage, Don and Trixie enjoyed many vacations with family and friends. They raised two sons, Richard (Jan) of Medford, and Brian (Jane) of Flagler Beach, Fla. Don served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed his work as a semi-truck driver and maintenance mechanic before retiring from Tombstone Pizza.
Don is survived by his wife, Trixie; one brother, Frank (Donnita) Farmer; and several cousins. He treasured his time with his four grandchildren, Nikki (Lucas) Farmer of Pocatello, Idaho; Jakki (Hunter) Farmer of Maple Grove, Minn.; Markki (Adam) Peterson, and Zak (Hope) Farmer, both living in Medford.
Special thanks to the friends and family who walked this journey with him, providing unwavering love and support. Our dog, Chevy, was more than a pet to Don. He was a loyal companion, sitting with him every day, a constant source of comfort and love. They were the best of “buddies”.
As per Don’s request, there will be no funeral service. We respect his wishes and honor his memory in our own way.
