Found guilty

Edgar Galan Camacho, 29, of Medford, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of battery, amended from substantial battery-intend bodily harm. Court orders the straight sentence, paying the court costs, provide a DNA sample and pay the surcharge, pay the restitution and submit the letter of apology. DE has 30 days to pay the remainder of the court costs. Total costs and restitution is $9,343.

Robert Hein, 61, of Medford, was found guilty due to no contest pleas of theft of moveable property <= $2,500 and possess illegally obtained prescription. A deferred entry of judgement agreement was approved for a charge of burglary -building or dwelling. In Counts theft and possession charges, the court ordered an imposed sentence and stays a 30-day jail sentence on each count (to serve if revoked from probation), to run consecutively, and orders the defendant to two years probation. Conditions of probation include: Payment of court costs on each count, DNA sample and surcharge fee on each count, letter of apology to the victim, AODA and follow through with all treatment recommendations, make a good faith effort to successfully complete the Taylor County Drug Treatment program, payment of the entry fee of $200 to the treatment court program, counseling as deemed necessary by the probation agent, and payment of restitution in the amount of $1,304.20. In the burglary charge, court defers adjudication of guilt for a period of two years and adopts the Deferred Entry of Judgment Agreement. Conditions of the agreement include: Hein shall not commit any criminal offenses; shall update the Clerk's office and DA's office with any change of address within 10 days of said change; shall comply with conditions of his bond, which remains in effect during the course of this case; shall successfully complete probation as ordered in the other two counts. Upon successful completion of the agreement, the burglary charge shall be dismissed. If any term of the agreement is violated and the agreement is subsequently revoked, the State will move the court to sentence the defendant to six months county jail with Huber privileges and good time. Total financial obligations due to the court equal $2,200.20 (which does not include the $200 treatment court fee, which is paid directly to the program). Defendant shall set up a payment plan with the Taylor County Clerk of Court's office at the rate of $75 per month starting no later than October 1.

Pleas entered

Jared Armbrust, 25, of Lake Tomahawk, pled not guilty to criminal trespass to dwelling. A pretrial conference is scheduled for November 13 at 3 p.m.

Matthew Bunkelman, 56, of Medford, pled not guilty to disorderly conduct. A pretrial conference is scheduled for 10:45 a.m. on October 23.

Jose Del Valle Rivera, 44, of Medford, pled not guilty to 4th degree sexual assault. A pretrial conference is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on October 29.

Kenneth Peterson, 69, of Rib Lake, pled not guilty to possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia, and receiving or concealing stolen property (<=$2,500) as a party to a crime. A status hearing is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. on October 16.

Luke Peterson, 30, of Medford, pled not guilty to operating a firearm while intoxicated, carrying a concealed weapon, OWI (2nd) and operating with a PAC (2nd). A pretrial conference is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on October 14.

Madison Strangfeld, 23, of Owen, pled not guilty to neglecting a child (specified harm did not occur). A pretrial conference is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. on October 23.

Drew Vannatta, 25, of Medford, pled not guilty to charges of possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia. A pretrial conference is scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on October 23.
