Danny Scott Hall

1966-2024

Danny Scott Hall, age 58, died of natural causes on July 29, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born on his father’s birthday in Medford on Jan. 21, 1966, to Eldon and Mildred Hall. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Susan. Dan grew up with six siblings, Cheryl (Ron) Cathey of St. Cloud, Minn., Susan, Bill (Sandy) Hall of Medford, Sandra (Leon) Youngblood of Burleson, Texas, Kurt (Barb) Hall of Littleton, Colo., and Cindy (Joseph) Harrison of Corsicana, Texas. He also had two foster siblings, Cynthia (Mike) Gibson of Mikana, and Craig (Mary) Hillegas of Inver Grove Heights, Minn. He will be greatly missed by his siblings, countless cousins, 22 nieces and nephews, 40 grandnieces and nephews, and many friends.

Dan graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1984 and attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He worked most of his life in the hospitality industry in Colorado and Nevada. At the time of his death, he was a server for large banquets and conventions in Las Vegas, Nevada. He thoroughly enjoyed this career and his coworkers, who remember Dan for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. Dan enjoyed music, games, and always treasured his Wisconsin heritage as a Badger fan, a Packer fan, and a lover of the cheeses and ice creams produced in the Dairy State.

His family treasures the recent week they spent with him at Forest Springs Family Camp. Dan made friends everywhere he went, always displaying a smile and cheerful attitude.

A celebration of Dan’s life will be held at First Baptist Church in Medford, on Sept. 14, 2024, at 11 a.m. We encourage all friends and family to honor Dan by wearing Badger or Packer clothing to the service.
