Rose Marian Henrichs
1932-2024
Rose Marian Henrichs, 92, Minocqua (Great Bass Lake), passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Rennes Assist Health and Rehab Center in Weston, under the care of Compassus Hospice Care. She was born April 10, 1932, in Wausau, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Niziolek) Salzman. On Aug. 29, 1951, she married Norbert C. Henrichs at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Wausau. He preceded her in death on April, 12, 2021.
Among her favorite pastimes, Rose enjoyed watching the wildlife around Great Bass Lake, floating on the pontoon boat, and playing cards and dominos with family and friends. She liked to stay active and spent her time walking, knitting, and crocheting. Rose also spent part of her life in Apache Junction, Ariz., escaping the Wisconsin winters for many years. She was an active member of her senior living community serving as Activity Director, coordinating pancake breakfasts, and helping her neighbors. Rose was most well known for her homemade lemon meringue pies made with fresh-squeezed lemons. Over the years, she made hundreds of lemon pies and every one of them was delicious!
Survivors include six loving children, Linda (Herbert) Tom, Cleveland, Okla., Dennis (Linda) Henrichs, Marathon, Lauri (David) Marthaler, Mosinee, Dan (Janna) Henrichs, Black Hawk, S.D., Don (Karen) Henrichs, DuBois, Pa., and Lisa Pennock, Surprise, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; two greatgreat- grandchildren; five surviving siblings, Louse Williams, Lucille Bousley, Mary Kay Smith, Esther Salzman, and James (Sandy) Salzman.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Kyle Henrichs; and seven siblings, Lawrence Salzman, Marvin Salzman, Arnold Salzman, Leonard Salzman, Josephine Breit, Pearl Salzman, and Delores Salzman.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Msgr. Joseph Diermeier will officiate. A visitation will be held on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
