Juan Hernandez
1957-2024
Juan Hernandez, 67, passed away on Thursday Aug. 8, 2024, after a valiant battle with osteosarcoma. His wife of 41 years, Jacquelyn and his dog, Duke were by his side when he left for his heavenly home. Juan will be missed beyond measure by those he left behind. Juan was born Jan. 31, 1957, in Valle de Santiago, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Jose Hernandez and Maria Socorro (Sandoval) Hernandez. He attended Ninos Heroes School while in Mexico and came to the United States as a teen.
In May 1983, he married Jacquelyn (Jackie) Schultz in Illinois where they resided for most of their marriage. In 2010 they moved to Medford to be closer to family and enjoy small town life.
Juan was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Maria Socorro; sister, Josefina in infancy, and earlier this year sister, Carmen (Jose) Victoria of Guanajuato, Mexico.
Surviving family include his wife, Jackie of Medford; brothers, Jesus and Alfredo of Ill., Salvador (Beatriz) of Calif., Guadalupe of Guanajuato, Mexico; sisters, Maria (Ramon) Perez of Guanajuato, Mexico and Josefina (Santiago) Delgado of Georgia. Juan is also survived by many much-loved nieces and nephews that were never far from his thoughts. Surviving extended family members include, Susan (Randy) Matthias, Terry (Mary) Schultz, Marlene Heide, and Duke the pug.
