Medford’s downtown is getting a major boost with word of a $1.2 million renovation and expansion of Medford Motors set to begin in a few weeks.
According to the owner of the local Ford dealership, Dave “Beaner” Lemke, he has wanted to expand the service area and office space for some time but has been waiting for approval from Ford. That approval has allowed them to proceed with the project.
The work will include expanding the current building to the east toward Wisconsin Avenue and to the south about 36 feet in what is currently a vehicle inventory lot. The new space will allow additional service bays and more office space for the staff. In addition to the expansion, the interior of the dealership will undergo a complete overhaul.
