February 21 election will be an important one
Vox Pop
The upcoming primary election for Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice on February 21st is an extremely important election. Currently, there are four conservative justices and three liberal justices on the court. One of the conservative justices is retiring.
This is a nonpartisan election. The four candidates are not running as Republicans nor Democrats; however, two are conservative and two are liberal. The top two candidates will move on to the April 4th general election. That could be a conservative and a liberal, it could be two conservatives, or it could be two liberals.
There are two conservative candidates. The Taylor County Republican Party will have an ad in The Star News identifying the conservative candidates.
If a conservative candidate does not win, it will be a liberal court. Democrats are already preparing court cases to bring in front of a liberal court, and they would probably win. We were told that these cases include abortion, concealed carry, CRT in the classroom, redistricting, school choice, voter ID, and more. It’s extremely important that conservatives and independents vote.
Remember, elections do have consequences! Share with your family and friends the importance of this election and encourage them to vote February 21st. Mark it on your calendar.
