The officers of the law in the city are in possession of facts which have led to the discovery of an organized “gang” of young boys who have committed various minor depredations in the city during the past several months. The boys have doubtless received their instructions through the medium of dime novels and other cheap literature, and if they do not change their tactics they will find themselves locked up. They are all naturally smart boys and the officers are disposed to give them a chance to mend their ways. In this connection it might be well to mention the fact that a strong effort was recently made to have the city council pass what is generally known as a ‘curfew’ ordinance, prohibiting children and young boys from running at large upon our streets after a certain hour after nightfall.
