After taking action to purchase and annex 33 acres of land, the village of Stetsonville now has an additional water source thanks to the location of well sites outside of the aquifer of the current village water supply. Village officials are acting on the positive development with hopes for more as it is moving forward with the creation of the first tax incremental finance (TIF) district. The first joint review of the plan was held Tuesday with representatives of the village, county and school district meeting to study the plan. The TIF plan would not only help develop the new well field, but make improvements for a variety of residential, commercial and industrial developments during the 20 year course of its life.
