Questions letter opposing mining expansion

Vox Pop

Recently our government launched another program called, The U.S. Strategy on Countering Corruption. If it wasn’t so serious, it would be laughable. You people remember Plato, the man that has laid the foundation of western culture by providing a brilliant and penetrating account of man’s moral and political character. Let’s just say he really thought about people, here is his take on judiciary matters: Some of the worst evil men are those who pass all his days in the court’s either as a plaintiff or a defendant, but is actually led by his bad taste to pride himself on his litigiousness, he imagines that he is a master in dishonesty, able to take every crooked turn, and wiggle into and out of every hole, bending like a snake and getting out of the way of justice, and all for what? In order to gain small points not worth mentioning.

If it wasn’t for the reality that yes, honest people lie and cheat too, I would not want to believe Plato. But the truth is, we lie, cheat and justify so well, that we honestly believe we are honest. We have reached a point where we have completely disregarded the most important principle for running an ethical society, which is to make sure that everyone’s reputation is on the line all the time, so that bad behavior will always bring bad consequences for the offenders. When nobody is answerable to anybody, when liars and cheaters go unpunished, everything falls apart, and dictators lick their chops, I do not want to be some dictator’s dinner. This also may seem harsh but again it’s the truth, stupid people are the most dangerous people on earth, the problem is though, we are all guilty of stupidity at times. So think a little longer on the decisions you make, they affect the welfare of everyone, not just yourself. And besides who doesn’t believe that if you can not prove your opinion by reason, you’re either lying, ignorant, or both.
