By Ginna Young The goal of the Cadott archery program was to finish in first place at State competition, March 28-29, but although the high school team fell just short of that mark in third place, they still shot their best score of the year, with 3,381. That qualifies them to move on to Nationals, May 8-10, in Lousiville, Ky.

“As for the middle school team, it was only the second time they were able to put together a team and they finished in ninth place,” said coach Scott Christenson.

Individually, junior Anthony Glenz shot a personal best, claiming first place overall, with a score of 296. Sophomore Isaac Wellner also had a personal best of 288, ending in second in his grade, qualifying for Nationals, while senior Mozelle Walthers took fourth in her grade level, scoring 284, also qualifying for Nationals.

Coming up with a score of 282, was junior Gavin Roscoe, while sophomore Gabe Dohms and junior Mary Walthers scored 280, with juniors Alexa Gindt, Gabe Sikora and Abi Bowe all scoring 279. Right behind them, were juniors Myka McCullough, Marcus Burlum and Zakary Hladilek, with a score of 278 each.

Scoring 277, was sophomore Owen Fasbender, while senior Brooklyn Hrdlicka and freshman Andrea Wundrow scored 276, followed by junior Olive LaRose, with 275, and freshman Kaylee Stai and sophomore Landon Starck scoring 274. Shooting for 273, were freshman Lucas Bourget, sophomores Garrett Engel and Jada Loken, and eighth grader Lorelai Puchalski.

Following that, was eighth grader Claire Seiberling, with a score of 272, with junior Dani Sikora shooting for 271, as did eighth grader Keirsten Evanson and senior Logan Wand.
