Dedication and success is what archery is all about

By Ginna Young The Lake Holcombe archery program did itself proud, March 28-29, at State competition, with a team score of 2,992, qualifying them for Nationals, May 8-10, in Lousiville, Ky.
“We have to wait to see if we will gain a spot, after the tier process is complete,” said coach Ashley Carothers. “Andrea Friedman had an impressive finish, with placing sixth in high school for girls in 3D, so she has automatically secured her spot.”
Friedman scored 275, which was followed by junior Logan Jaedike, with 271, while seventh grader Dylon Richards scoring 264. Sophomore Trevor Tripp followed that up with a score of 260, while junior Broy Miller scored 255 and seventh grader Logan Hoffner shot for 246.
Eighth grader Katelyn Armstrong came next, with 243, with senior Jordanna Brown shooting for 241, while senior MacKenzie Bera had 240. Sixth grader Connor Barrois scored 237, followed by sophomore Donovan Bera, with 234, with eighth grader Aleigha Richards scoring 226.
Following that, was eighth grader Lillian Goeldner, with 225, while seventh grader Bryler Sigmund shot 216, freshman Lane Porter scored 207 and sophomore Austin McGinnis ended with a score of 205. Coming after that, was senior Hunter Fasbender, with 201, with sixth grader Arianna Potter scoring 196, seventh grader Audrae Adams shooting 180 and sophomore Cloey McGinn scoring 151.
“This tournament was a huge achievement for our archers,” said Carothers, “and I am incredibly proud of their dedication and their success this season.”
