Taydyn Angell, Cornell-Lake Holcombe-Gilman sophomore (215 pounds), was on the mat, Feb. 27-March 1, for the State wrestling competition. Angell started the event against Weyauwega’s Tellyer Alix, but dropped the match, in a 5-4 decision.
Angell then competed in the consolation bracket, but was outmatched by Sawyer Swiggum, of North Crawford, by fall, in 4:08. That puts an end to Angell’s season, but with two more years of wrestling ahead, a championship looks to be within his grasp.
