Chosen few return home with second place finish
By Ginna Young For some of the Lake Holcombe archers, a different experience was undertaken, before competing in a normal shoot.
Feb. 28 Stevens Point A dozen of the archers headed to Stevens Point, for the Wisconsin Bowhunters Association bullseye shoot, chosen, based on their leadership and team-first qualities.
“They did a very nice job, obtaining a second place team finish,” said coach Ashley Carothers.
Hitting the mark for the program, was freshman Andrea Friedman, with 280, followed by senior MacKenzie Bera, with 258, and seventh grader Logan Hoffner, who shot 255. Sophomore Donovan Bera followed that up with a score of 247, while eighth grader Lillian Goeldner scored 245.
Seventh grader Dylon Richards scored 242, as did sophomore Trevor Tripp, followed by eighth grader Katelyn Armstrong, with 224. Sixth grader Connor Barrois came next, with 221, while sophomore Austin McGinnis had 214 and senior Jordanna Brown scored 210.
Eighth grader Aleigha Richards followed with a score of 208 and senior Hunter Fasbender scored 197.

“They all did such a great job there,” said Carothers. Coming next, was seventh grader Bryler Sigmund, with 237, with A. Richards scoring 233, followed up with a score of 232 by junior Brody Miller. McGinnis was not far behind, with a score of 229, while Goeldner had 227 and D. Richards shot for 226.
