Chieftains split final two matches before playoffs

In their final regular season games, the Lake Holcombe girls basketball program took one win out of two on the week.

Feb. 20 vs. Flambeau conference (W 59-50)

The Chieftains were on the road, facing off with Flambeau, in what proved to be a victory for the visitors. It wasn’t a runaway win, but still a win, 59-50, for Lake Holcombe.

Feb. 21 vs. Winter conference (L 51-40)

The next day, the Chieftains were home, against Winter, but that game did not go their way and the Warriors took the win, 51-40.

That brings Lake Holcombe’s overall record to 8-15, with a 7-9 standing in the East Lakeland Conference, as they now prepare for Regional action.
