Schneider reaches his big milestone in senior season

Right up until he actually achieved it, Cadott senior Braden Schneider knew he was close to hitting 1,000 points in his high school basketball career. On the road at Thorp, Jan. 30, by halftime, there were only nine points to go and Schneider was determined to get that accolade.

In the second half, the shot fell and the 1,000th point belonged to Schneider.

“It was hanging on my shoulders for a while,” said Schneider. “I’m glad I got it.”

A high scorer, Schneider consistently works on his game, and is thankful for his parents and coaches, who allow him to put so much extra time in the gym. In doing so, his milestone was met.

“I tried my hardest and it paid off,” he said.
