Chiefs can’t get offense going at home with Cats
By Ginna Young
A lack of scoring plagued the Cornell boys basketball program, Feb. 14, as they hosted East Lakeland Conference foe Birchwood. The Chiefs were down by 32 points at the break and while their defense was better in the second half, offensive woes still clung to them.
In the end, the match went to Birchwood, 74-27.
Senior Hunter Anders scored 12 points for the Chiefs, while junior Carson Stipek and sophomore Bryce DeJongh each added 5. Sophomore Eddie Woodford followed that up with 3 points and junior Grady Abbott chipped in with 2.
Cornell now sits at 1-20 on the year and are 1-13 in league action.
