In the middle of a major snowstorm, the Lake Holcombe archery program was at home – this time, in Cornell – who they co-hosted a tournament with, Feb. 8.
“I’m grateful for the schools who showed up to support us, despite the less than ideal weather,” said coach Ashley Carothers.
Freshman Andrea Friedman again placed high, taking first and scoring 278, while senior MacKenzie Bera shot 261 and junior Logan Jaedike had 259. Junior Brody Miller followed with 256, with seventh grader Logan Hoffner scoring 238, followed by seventh grader Dylon Richards, with 228.
Eighth grader Lillian Goeldner came next, with 213, while sophomore Donovan Bera had a score of 210 and sixth grader Connor Barrois ended with a score of 209. Freshman Lane Porter followed that up with 206, with eighth grader Aleigha Richards next, scoring 204. Sophomore Trevor Tripp was right behind, with 203.
“I was pleased with how they shot,” said Carothers.
“It was another good learning experience for the athletes.”
