Chieftains rebound on the road against Raiders

The week didn’t start off so good for the Lake Holcombe girls basketball, but by the end, they’d claimed a victory, to bolster their confidence.
Feb. 4 vs. Clayton conference (L 65-26)
Lake Holcombe headed to Clayton, but offense was at a premium and the defense was unable to stop the home team. The game went to the Bears, 65-26.
Feb. 7 vs. Thorp non-conference (L 52-40)
A few days later, they were in action at home, against Thorp, with the score much closer, but the match still slipped away from the Chieftains, 52-40.
Feb. 10 vs. Bruce conference (W 46-37)
The next night, it was off to Bruce, in what would be a game to celebrate for Lake Holcombe fans. At the end of the match-up, the Chieftains went home with a 46-37 win, giving them a much-needed boost of confidence, as they are deep into the season.
