Heading to Flambeau, Feb. 8, amidst a raging snowstorm, the Cadott archery program made the most of the day, and came home with first place.

“I was happy with our performance on Saturday,” said coach Scott Christenson. “We had a smaller group of archers this weekend, due to the weather, but I was pleased with some of our new archers.”

Sophomore Gabe Dohms shot the highest score for the Hornets, with 288, followed by sophomore Jada Loken, with 286. Junior Logan LaNou and junior Alexa Gindt followed up with a score of 282, while eighth grader Mathew Koffler shot for 280.

Junior Mary Walthers came next, shooting 279, with senior Brooklyn Hrdlicka and eighth grader Keirsten Evanson scoring 277. Sophomore Garrett Engel followed that with 275, with junior Zakary Hladilek scoring 272. Sophomore Payton Pederson was right behind, with 271, and eighth grader Lorelai Puchalski was right behind him, with a score of 270.

Following that, junior Marcus Burlum had 269, while freshman Carter Slagle shot 268 and seventh grader Lauren Lemm shot for 264. Freshman Ryan Koffler shot 262, as did sophomore Landon Starck, while seventh grader Alzada Bourget, senior Danika Holler and junior Abi Bowe scored 261. Sophomore Max Demulling followed that up with 260.

“We had four individuals earn awards and several students shoot their personal bests,” said Christenson.
