By Ginna Young

Cadott’s girls wrestling program continues to set goals and make their presence known, which was felt Jan. 23, while at Mondovi. The Hornets won their first ever official dual meet against the home team, Mondovi-Eleva-Strum, in a 36-18 victory.

“History was made tonight,” said coach Greg Sonnentag.

They also won over Onalaska, 42-0.

Best effort went to senior Abigail Moss (138 pounds), for bumping up a weight class, to take on a state-ranked opponent, while best takedown went to sophomore Taliann Donahue (132), for her power double. Senior Molli York (145) received best pin, for being patient and sticking with her half-Nelson, to get a pin.
