3 NGL wrestlers win their brackets at Blue Jay Challenge

The Neillsville-Greenwood-Loyal (NGL) wrestling team traveled to Merrill on Jan. 11 for the Blue Jay Challenge, with three wrestlers earning the title of champion and eight wrestlers placing in the top five for their weight class.

Results were as follows, listed by weight class: 106 Austin Voeltz (Saint Croix Central) won over Boden Opelt (NGL) (fall 0:44).

Round 1 - Opelt won over Parker Albrecht (Edgar) (fall 1:42).

Round 2 - Opelt won over Jacob Tabora (Tri-County) (technical fall 18-0, 2:34).
