Wolfpack is bringing some heat to the mat

It was a great week of wrestling for the Cornell-Lake Holcombe-Gilman program, as they came home with a dual win and saw a champion crowned at a 17-team tournament.

Jan. 9 Flambeau Duals (W 2-1)

The night began against Bruce, on the road, with the Wolfpack taking the win, 36-12. They then faced off with the home team, again coming up with a win, 24-23. Lastly, the Wolfpack were in action against Shell Lake, dropping that bout, 33-24.

Jan. 11 Cadott Invitational

Then, over the weekend, the Wolfpack were at Cadott, going up against a large field of competitors. Sophomore Taydyn Angell (215 pounds) finished first, with senior Lee Zagorski (285) claiming fourth, and senior Preston Fredrickson (150) and sophomore Lucas Halida (132) were ninth.

On the girls side, freshman Kaitlyn Madlon was second and freshman Aspen Person was fifth.
