7 NGL wrestlers compete at Northern Badger

The Neillsville-Greenwood-Loyal (NGL) wrestling team traveled to River Falls for the Northern Badger Wrestling Classic, a two-day wrestling tournament held Dec. 27 and 28, with one wrestler winning the 150-pound championship.

Championship round 1 - Opelt received a bye. Championship round 2 - Zayden Sanchez (Arcadia) won over Opelt by decision (8-2).

Consolation round 2 - Opelt received a bye. Consolation round 3 - Parker Schenien (De Pere) won over Opelt by major decision (11-3).

113 Mason Anding did not place.

Championship round 1 -Anding won over Evan Hastreiter (Lakeland) by major decision (17-3).
