NGL defeats Medford on wrestling mat, earns several top 5 finishes at Eau Claire

The Neillsville-Greenwood-Loyal (NGL) wrestling squad traveled to Medford last Thursday for a dual and came out on top, defeating the Raiders 55-24. Individual results were as follows, listed by weight class.

132 pounds: Ethan Funston (NGL) won via forfeit for 6 points.

138: Chase Lindner (NGL) won over Corey McVicker (Medford Area) (fall 1:14) for 6 points.

144: Levi Zuleger (Medford Area) won via forfeit for 6 points.

150: Hudzon Sebesta-Opelt (NGL) won over Domanic Spencer (Medford Area) (technical fall, 17-0, 1:23) to earn 5 points.

157: Parker Lissner (Medford Area) defeated Joseph Dull (NGL) (fall 2:28) for 6 points.

165: Jerome Buchanan (NGL) won via forfeit for 6 points.

175: Evan Kautzer of NGLwon via forfeit for 6 points.

190: Jakob Luchterhand of NGL defeated Ashton Noland (Medford Area) (technical fall, 15-0, 2:42) for 5 points.

215: Ian Stickney (Medford Area) won via forfeit for 6 points.

285: Jackson Meyer of NGL defeated Jackson Mayer (Medford Area) (fall 0:35) for 6 points.

106: Boden Opelt (NGL) defeated Tyler Kmosena (Medford Area) (fall 1:01) for 6 points.
