MEDFORD CURLING
The Medford girls curling team was able to jump out to a big lead early in Tuesday’s home match against Wausau West and earned another win.

Medford rallied and thanks to outside rocks scored five in the third end to bring the score to 8-2.

The boys match was characterized by having a lot of rocks in the house and low scoring ends as both teams vied for strategy over power.
Wausau West got on the board with two in the first end, which was answered by a big three-point end from Medford in the second end. Wausau West tied things up in the third end to make the score 3-3.
Wausau West went on to score one in each of the fifth, sixth and seventh ends. Medford’s hopes of being able to tie up the game at the tail end of the eighth end were dashed with a clean takeout of guard rocks by the Wausau West. Medford then conceded.
