Chieftains don’t quit in the season ender at Flambeau

Picking up a game after most football programs around them were done, the Lake Holcombe squad was off to Flambeau, Oct. 24, in the last match of the season. Although the Chieftains scored more than they had in some of the games they played in, Flambeau racked on too many points and took the game, 56-16.
Despite the loss, the Chieftains don’t quit, even when the going gets tough.
“That’s a positive right there,” said coach John Stender. Because they are such a young team, Stender knows that the athletes will have to grow and improve to be competitive.
“We’ll keep working and hopefully, we’ll get back to where we want to be,” said Stender.
